In Missouri, the GED test is no longer used. Missouri’s new test is the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET®). Nevada Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) programs offer classes to help you prepare for the HiSET®.
There is no cost associated with our programs. AEL programs are free to everyone. When you are ready to take the HiSET®, there is a cost associated with the test. We do not administer the test; we only prepare you to take the test. You must be at least 17 years old and not currently enrolled in public school to attend AEL classes.
Students wishing to enroll in AEL must complete enrollment forms and participate in 12 hours of enrollment activities including a pre-test, orientation, and initial instruction to complete the enrollment process. Again, you must be at least 17 years old and not currently enrolled in public school to attend AEL classes. The Nevada AEL program serves Vernon, Bates, Dade, and Cedar counties and offers three class site locations.
Visit http://hiset.ets.org/ for information on the HiSET.
